Trying to get a high-spec looking game to run on the Switch isn't exactly toggling some "Turn on 1080p/60FPS" option on in the development kit. The two biggest hurdles of the Switch are its memory bandwidth and the draw rate that the Tegra X1 can handle. Going through trial and error to make a graphically ambitious game cut down just enough for it be stable with the least amount of compromise is lost development time.
