It's a merch franchise as of Megas, so all the games have to do is have something new and shiny for the year and break even which is probably like 1-2M. GO also made it enter the point where even 1:1 remakes and 2 in a season will still go 8 figures a pop. And now we add the open-world meme into the mix? It wouldn't surprise me one bit if SV became the new all-time bestseller of the franchise.

What makes a good pokemon game to you?
I don't think Legends is a masterpiece but it makes previous 3D titles look soulless in comparison
