If anything they're pushing sv for this year instead of letting bdsp and pla tide people over because botw2 was gonna get delayed. Sure sv's pokemon look better but everything else up close looked terrible, prepare for the whole thing to be slapped together with incomplete areas roped off and unfinished story lines because the actual content production was supposed to have another 8 months than they're gonna get and the polishing pass is never gonna happen while they're too busy crunching to get the gameplay finished to worry about balance and texture resolution.
Of course more likely is the two game's production/release cycles have nothing to do with each other. Turn based monster breeder rpg that mostly serves as a basis for a merch empire aimed at young kids doesn't share that much of a player base as an action rpg with a focus on story, exploration, and puzzles that actively tries to keep older fans invested and puts the bulk of its resources into the games themselves. The overlap outside of hardcore Nintendo fanboys who'd get both anyways regardless of when they came out isn't enough for one to cannibalize the other's sales. Botw2 is probably too ambitious for the aging hardware and they're running into serious issues.
