I like gen 5 but i fucking know their remakes are going to be garbage. I mean, remakes have been becoming worse and worse over the years. If that continue, and seeing the new gen 4 games, i cant image how bad gen 5 remakes are going to be.

Yes because I feel like gen 8 was a special case. The reason BDSP turned out how they did was because GF was working on LOA which is basically a tech demo for Gen 9. If 5th gen Remakes come at let's say gen 11 we'll probably be on a next gen switch and the big hardware leap and innovations would have already happened. There'd be no need for another bridge game and BW Remakes would probably follow the new norm that Scarlet and Violet start

gen5 had such a distinct style that porting it into 3d would make it feel even more generic than all the 3d pokemon games do because we'd have the original to compare to.
but if BDSP is any indication they're at least probably not going to do what ORAS did and try retool a decent story (for pokemon, not winning any awards) into an edgy deviantart-tier fanfic of itself. especially considering how much of the tryhard edginess of gen6 was probably an attempt to live up to gen5.

after the DP remakes? god no, i at least want them to be like ORAS, sure it has MANY problems, but it also brought great stuff like the Eon flute and keeping the infinite TMs, compared to the shitty gen 4 remakes which not only its ugly as fuck but also brought back old problems that were already fixed
