HGSS is such an exciting game, why can't gamefreak write fun stories anymore? To top it all off the level curve is perfect and each route is memorable. Amazing and best game in the series.

I love XY so much it hurts. I truly hope the fanbase for all things Gen 6 related grows and grows, and they never, ever stop posting. Kalos, Megas, Serena, the anime's unabashed shonen phase, all of it. Those posters are the best this franchise has going for it.

I'd put 5 higher, Unova is after all the peak of the series along with Sinnoh and Hoenn. Gen 6-8 are the worst ones in the franchise!

Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl went above and beyond with Platinum Episode. Really stretched what the switch is capable of with those grimdark realistic graphics in the distortion realm. Love wearing my squirtle squad trenchcoat--adding stickers to clothing options was truly brilliant.

Gen 8 was probably the greatest generation in the series. Each design was better than the last and the story and setting was just fantastic! A perfect adaptation of the UK and Scotland. A shame Gloria looked like garbage and looked like a sheepfucking welshman in drag.

I know right? Mega evolution was probably the best and most creative feature in the series to date. And Mega Slowbro was everything I hoped it would be along with the rest, but MS really blew me away. Only thing better was the improved save system and the Team Flare storyline.

A shame the global trade system in that game was probably the worst the series ever had though.

gigantamax is the perfect blend of what mega evolution and z-moves were missing and a great addition to the series.
Ever since gen 6 started balancing around competitive and finally nerfed dragon type the games have just been getting better and better both in comp and single player.
The fact that you can only use gigantamax in gyms really does add to the difficulty of the game, I'm glad they emphasized the exp share to compensate for it.
