Bro do you even play the games? Way back in ORAS it was confirmed there were different timelines, ones that had mega evolutions and ones that didn't. LGPE is part of one of the mega evolution timelines.

The non-Mega Evolution timeline contains only the pre-Gen 6 games. Every game since has been in the Mega Evolution timeline, and considering that there's no other difference between the timelines, the non-Mega timeline is dead and will never be revisited.
