The battles were bullshit in the anime. The only one that really pissed me off though was when Ash’s charmander (?) fought a Scyther who used Armblessed’s spin attack. So Ash uses Gally’s Strategy of attacking the spin from above. Unlike in Gunnm where the villain is actually smart and the fights are interesting, he doesn’t fall for it. But Charmander uses the exact same strategy on spinning Scyther twice.
Like what the fuck. Are you seriously just gonna use the same attack on a guy who figured out a way to foil it? Ash only won battles because all his opponents were autistic retards. A trained Exeggutor losing to an unused Krabby. What the fuck ever. At least they had the decency to change the Golem from the first movie into a Drowzee, but damn the show writers are speds.
