Mostly because buying online is fucking annoying when it comes to buying manga in general unless its a very mainstream series sold at mega bookstores such as Boarders or Barnes and Noble or rare occasion places like Target or Walmart in the book section. Even then, you have to go to the store directly because their stock is normally not posted/purchasable online.
I've honestly only seen physical copies of the Adventure manga enmass at the local manga shop in SF Japan town. Besides that it's usually recently current volumes or RBY series.
