>>50084055I'm asking because I wanna know if the way you progress through the region is good. Layout is unironically important, it's one of the reasons hoenn is so great, and it's why people bitch about the newer maps. It's the first thing I wanna get right before I start actually designing the individual routes, because the routes design will depend on the lay out. I actually do have a lot of stuff planned out tho. The big route in the middle is going to be a massive ravine between mountains locked off till endgame, tho you go across it on a bridge in the mid game, as you can see. The one on the west coast is gonna be a rocky beach area, the south westernmost city is based on Victoria BC, the easternmost city is based on Quebec etc.
>>50083497It's based on canada. The southernmost town is based windsor and will be the starting town, which leads into a town that'll be based on my hometown, then into a forest, then into the city with the first gym based on Ottawa, which is where the actual story I mention here
>>50082452 will kick in. You can progress to the next town, but you need the badge to take a ferry to the next city, where the third gym badge is, but for some reason (I'm not sure what yet) you'll need to get your second badge first. The curved route to the left of that city will be going up a mountain path, which leads to a cave. Anyway I haven't got it ALL planned out but that's as far as I have concrete plans for. I have a shit load of ideas but I haven't really fit them into the region yet. I actually already had another region based on canada but the layout was too symmetrical so I decided to make it based on the actual shape of canada like other pokemon games do, and that gave me a more natural layout
