>>50097038The thing is that we don't know enough about the true form of Arceus. First of all, should it be consider to be a "Pocket Monster"? If not, then Arceus is not different from N.E.O., Yggdrasil or Homeostasis and shouldn't be taken into account. Christian's god made humans in its image. That doesn't make him human. Arceus made Pokemons with one being its image, the same logic could be applied. Then, what type of god is he? Some gods are invulnerables, some other are not (Osiris, Baldr, Chronos and all the gods killed during Ragnarök), then you have Haruhi Suzumiya type of god. Also, deicide are a thing frequently used in video game for the final boss.
I'm not stating anything here, I'm not saying that a Digimon could take down the true form of Arceus easily, because the thing is, I don't know. Should we trust the scriptures about Arceus? On what basis? I mean, I'm an atheist (who try, with difficulty, to think as an agnostic), so scriptures doesn't mean shit to me.
For the known Arceus, the one beaten by a meteor, he should, by logic, be beaten by Cometmon. He has a power of 65.000, while Globemon can reach 90.000 which seems to be on par with WarGreymon. Then Globemon can AppGattai with Charismon to form Gaiamon, who has a basic power of 300.000, plus a possible bonus of 50%, for a total of 450.000. The strongest Appmon is Deusmon who can go from a basic power of 340.000 to 510.000. For the known Arceus, it should be more than enough. As for space-time powers, they're overused by Digimon at this point. Clockmon, Piccolomon, Timemon, Alphamon, Wisemon, Parallelmon etc. For somebody who watch Digimon, Palkia and Dialga seems to be able to fight against Perfect Digimon and beat some of them.
At the end, the debate shouldn't even exist. Pokemon cannot be monstruosities able, for every single one of them, to destroy the whole world, because that would made the presence of humans near impossible. Digimon living in an other world doesn't have this limitation.
