Re-remakes seem to remake the initial third versions and not the original remakes of that region. LGPE were strictly Yellow remakes and seemed to go out of their way to not include any FRLG additions. That means, come the re-remakes of Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh they will probably remake Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum, ignoring HGSS, ORAS, and BDSP. People will be mad that these eventual re-remakes will lack content from the remakes, even though they remade the third versions, which is what everyone asked for the first set of remakes to include content from.
I am fully aware that I am assuming they continue their patterns, which may or may not occur. I just want a civil discussion about this distant notion.
