I know Johto Route 45 has Geodudes in the grass, but that's only one route and it's the only example I can think of. So it's more of an abberation in Johto whereas in Sinnoh it's a feature. I understand that Geodudes are so common because Sinnoh is mountainous, but it really does get tiring after a while.
