I'm doubtful they'll ever happen, but if they do I'd expect exactly what we got with LGPE: tile-for-tile remake, only gen one and two pokemon, and a new $60 pokeball controller that gives you celebi this time.

Idk, no one really wanted another kanto remake but we got one, and tbf FRLG were getting a bit “old” by then. Soon HGSS are going to be in that same spot.

Also back in 2018 or whatever there was no way to play through Kanto on the 3ds since it didn’t have any gba compatibility, not counting the eshop rerelease. The switch of course has no way of playing DS games, and doesn’t have GSC on Eshop(correct me if I’m wrong) and physical copies of HGSS can get pretty pricey.

Let's Go! was a tie in to the Mobile ARG Pokemon Go! Let's Go! was never meant to be a series of remakes.
They obviously went with Kanto because that's what literally everyone knows rather its through
the anime or the first/only game most people played.
Let's Go! was a tie in to a mobile app FIRST and a remake SECOND.
It's marketing NOT the new Fire Red and Leaf Green.

You've been saying this since years now.
It's not going to happen. Let's go is over and done with, it was only a project used for GameFreak to get used to Switch hardware.

As long as the catch system is the same as a baseline, I'll be completely happy with it. If they expand on it with ways to increase success rate or push more nuance in throws with regard to swerving and button inputs, that'd be cool. Ride Pokemon were a fun touch and Go connectivity was interesting. If it's just GS with those things, then that's cool for me. Hopefully, the old Pokeball Plus would be compatible and any future redeemable would be retroactively applicable to your original unit.
