With the exception of 3 (as I skipped it entirely) and 5 and 6, the newest region and games replace the last "pinnacle" games of the series in my mind, because they series is constantly evolving and improving on the 26-year old formula. Your tribalistic bullshit will not change the fact XY was the worst lead air in the series, because it had so much obvious missed potential, than the preceding Gens just didn't have (instead we found out through leaks and beta reveals how shit could have been different, years after the fact. Gen 7, Game Freak were open and honest about Gen 6's issues).
