>>50101057>GenwunnersArgue that all later designs pale in contrast to the original 151, that the later plots are derivative or too grandiose, that the exploration is poor in comparison to the mysteriousness of the original games, that the setting and character design is too all over the place and ungrounded, etc.
Really heavy nostalgia goggles and general uncritical attitude toward their preferred games; don't learn much from arguing with them
>JohtoddlersClaim their region is the unarguable peak, in no small part due to being connected to Kanto. Claims all flaws pointed out about the games are minor or nonexistent or actually good things. Has never been caught praising the whole dex in the way a Genwunner might Kanto's, instead focusing attention on a very choice few mons to praise and letting synecdoche do the rest for the reputation. Extremely conceited and defensive, to the point of considering their choice of games the objective best and nigh flawless.
>HoennbabiesProbably the quietest classic generation fanbase. Claims the regional design is the best in the series, the mechanics are virtually perfect, the speed is superb, and the natdex size and quality perfectly adequate, with one of the best designed dexes in the series, as well as a strong postgame thanks to the Battle Frontier. Generally has no trouble acknowledging the region's shortcomings, although claims the story, water routes, and lack of day/night cycle are not significant issues, if issues at all. Rejects the notion of archaicism from lack of phys/spec split. May believe all things considered their favorite region is the best, but is never as forceful with this opinion as other fanbases.
