I don't think I've ever filled a dex before. I usually get bored and put the game down for a while only to start a new game later because I feel bad I haven't completed a dex yet.

Felt like a waste of time after Gen 1. Wish they gave you insensitives for certain milestones. Like getting tms, items and eggs.

Always, I full nat dex completion in gen 4 and 6, with aloha dex completion in 7. It is fun, the hard part is getting another system and copy of the game to trade with yourself, cause I am a loser, also the taking away of the gts is fucking gay

Gen 1 was the one that was a waste of time. You get objects for completing the dex in later gens like the Pokeradar and the Shiny Charm.

In FRLG you get the everstone, flash, 30 ultra balls, the item finder, amulet coin, exp share and unlock the national dex for filling the pokedex. In the original RBY you get flash, the item finder and exp share.

You only need 70 pokemon for the exp share, i think he was implying that filling the full dex gives no reward in gen 1

It's an incentive to catch pokemon and fill the dex. The other games completely ignore that aspect altogether. Making it feel like an afterthought.
