If a game has the creator self inserted as god/final boss/most powerful enemy, in this case the champion, the game is automatically cringe. Sure, GameFreak self inserts in their games, but they’re always hidden in some side room in a building. I don’t ever remember fighting Champion Ohmori.

The best catch em all romhack and is very unique while still just being a good pokemon romhack experience. Definitely my favorite no fakemon romhack.
No poor balance written off as "it's just difficulty haha" no edgy shit, actually finished, all in all good
I will say I'm pretty sure I played it before the OC shit people complain about was in but I don't know. I don't remember any cringe OC shit and if there was it was inoffensive and not bad enough to remember
Maybe I'll play it again. It was really good

It's fun and has some nice QoL stuff and other content additions but is let down by the creator being a total faggot hack who steals code and replaced the E4 and Champ with himself and his tranny discord friends. Wild mons not scaling also means it's pretty unbalanced

Both. It's an great concept, but the execution was botched. Probably due to technical limitations of using gen 2 as your base coupled with how the game breaks when you go to certain areas early on.

Stop this. This is retarded and misrepresenting the situation. That code was open source and it's that way so that people can use it. The ACTUAL problem is that he used Open Source code and then kept his hack closed source so that no one could learn from his work in kind.

It's an etiquette thing. He claimed that he'd go Open Source but "my code is too messy and I need to fix it first," but then started selling Patreon rewards and banning people from Discord for mentioning going OS.

Well, in Pokémon Yellow the protagonist is named Satoshi and the rival Shigeru in honor of Stashi Tajiri and Shigeru Miyamoto. Although Miyamoto doesn't work at GF, you do fight him as the final boss.
Same can be said as Red in GSC.

Overall it's good, you just have to try and remind yourself that the events of the game are supposedly set 1 year after the events of GSC. But I would have preferred the events of GSC exactly as is, but with all of the based points mentioned above.
