everything after the Regis (not counting Galarian birds or Regis) should be trashed. not a single good design or lore behind any of them. literally just legendaries for the sake of more legendaries

the lake fairies were part of Platinum plot and they were part of the Origin trio lore - barely.

That's my headcanon. Shame because they moved Magearna from Kalos to Alola so there's even less Pokemon in gen 6.

This is entirely true. Especially since Magearna was from a Gen 6 Movie centered around the AZOTH Kingdom which was hinted at in fucking ORAS.
It's a far bigger stretch than both but Galar probably stole these from Kalos, too. We already know most of the mechanics from Gen 7 originally got the axe from Gen 6, so there's a chance regional forms did too and they just brought them back as an excuse to make LGPE.

LGPE was made solely because of GO's sudden success, regional forms with rare types in Kanto were just perfect way to cut everything from gen 2 onwards

The genies are from Hisui (a Japanese region) and they're based on Japanese folklore. So now Unova actually has 0 legendary groups.

The tapia have as much lore as any gen 2-3 legendary. And a lot more than the Kanto ones since they don’t have any besides Mewtwo

In terms of what
none of these mons here have S tier designs, and all of them have badly written lore; Raikou Entei and Suicune may have the best (known) origin story, but they do nothing else, same as the others excepting Tapus
