I mean, time travel bullshit aside, they could just argue that the Hisuian forms changed climates when Sinnoh started getting more industrialized to a more wild environment (Which the Gen 9 Region seems to have considering there seems to be massive stretches of wilderness between cities)

The "true" evos are Ursaluna, Wyrdeer and Kleavor. Then there's Basculegion, Sneasler and Overqwill which count as regional evos. I think the latter is a weird concept because it leaves the original form in a bad spot, like how Linoone, Mr Mime or Qwilfish don't get anything and can't even use Eviolite.

I'm kinda on the fence about counting Kleavor based on how it's technically an alternate evo to Scizor instead of increasing the evolution line like Ursaluna and Wyrdeer do.

Speaking of which, they also mean Ursaring and Stantler can use Eviolite in competitive now.

I dunno if they're going to have wild Hisuian forms in SV, the tweet they posted regarding Home/SV connectivity seemed to imply they'd only be able to be transferred from Home.
That's not to say they can't just make a new region that flat-out equates to old Hisui's climate and conditions and put them in the wild in the future. Just remarking it doesn't seem to be this game.

I mean for the outright Hisuian forms that might be it, but there's not really much reason not to just put Stantler and Ursaring in SV and just let them evolve.

Though what they'd change Wyrdeer's evolution method to is beyond me, because I don't see styles coming back.

There’s no debate about Kleavor’s status, it’s the same as Wyrdeer and Ursaluna. Scizor’s existence doesn’t change that. Sylveon is a cross gen evo as well and Umbreon’s existence doesn’t change that either.

My only issue would be what kind of strategy or builds could work with it to make Guts useful in singles? Maybe a Rest-Talk set might work? Otherwise inducing burn in doubles is easy and you could go with an all out attacker.

not really, if they can't evolve in gen 9 and are transfer only they wont be able to use eviolite, just like meltan.
