this, except for gen 8 the only postitive things i can say about it is that it introduced a bunch of useful items and it has the best models and UI out of any pokemon game

Lusamine is one of the few villains who are competently write (even if USUM shat the bed with her motives it doesn't erase what SM graced us with)
The island setting is nice
Totem battles actually tried to provide a challenge
Allows all Pokemon to exist (the bare minunium to be expectd of a Pokemon game)

Based lad just enjoying his favorite series. I'm kinda the same way even if I don't enhoy them all equally, I can get enjoyment out of them all for various reasons

The team skull as a whole, pretty neat concept.
Also the plot is very creative, it's not the typical

"I'm bad because I'm bad and I wanna kill everybody"

Also, the "plot-twist" they tried, at least was original. It was obvious but better they try new things.

The Aether Family story is of the best of the series.
