The only reason they kept expanding in what is today called India is because they couldn't go west against the powerful Hellenic and Iranic peoples so had to settle for BTFOing unwashed hordes of what they called "Dalit" or untouchables. They also were only able to expand that way because Alexander had already laid low the poos and left weak Satraps behind. That's why they couldn't expand against organised peoples of Indochina. Sorry, the English invented India. I know it's troublesome to think about, but you should be greatful.
