I think the shinny odds in Swoshit and LA are outrageously high even without the charm. I literally walked into a shinny Staravia like 3 hours into the game.

Pretty sure base chance is 1/4096, and the odds improve at the L10 mark, when you perfect it and in post game when you get the shiny charm, where it drops to 1/216 i think

I have about 5 shinies in PLA and I wasn't even hunting for them. That's more than I've had in pretty much every other Pokemon game combined (except Pokemon Go).

It's the same, but you can't reset mass outbreaks anymore.
Massive mass outbreaks have a lower shiny chance.

They super likely in the outbreaks.
Regular overworld spawns are still unlikely.
I came across 3 shinys on the overworld in about 200 hours of PLA.
Wurmple, Magmar and Starly.

Jesus. I'm sub 70 and I've found Sligoo, Gyarados and Geodude, plus a Bonsly from an ore deposit. That's not including distortion or outbreaks.
