In black and white the party sprite for Beheeyem was it’s shiny version, a mistake that not a single person caught before releasing the game. This is how little of a shit even gamefreak gave for this Pokémon.

You can, just a rarer find because of the sandiles.

There's a running joke with this. "The Elgyems are hard to find in the desert because the Sandiles ate most of them after crashing in the desert"

Exceedingly based design, I used to draw Beheeyem all the time as an 8th-grader
Never really used one, though. I usually have a full team of mons by the time I reach Celestial Tower, and it's got pretty poor lategame matchups. A shame, really. Elgyem shoulda been an early game encounter in BW2 as Flocessy Ranch to reference all those alien happenings around farms.

the problem with Beheeyem is that there are four different pure Psychic lines in Unova and it's the last one you meet. If it had some kind of niche, like perhaps being part Normal type, I think more people would use it.
