I'm not talking about tbe design, I mean in general its a let down. Despite not being the same Type I think Incineroar ended up being a better fighting type than Emboar

Nah, especially after Samurott got fixed. I think a future Legends style game needs to have Tepig by default just so Emboar can be fixed too.

It did "fighting type" more creatively than simply repeating the typing, I'll give it that. Wrestling being fake sports entertainment with cheap tricks was pretty fitting for a dark type.

Emboar is my favorite of the three, actually. Blaziken and Infernape have speed as their claim to fame, so Emboar stood out to me I guess. Also has the absolute best shiny of any starter Pokemon.

I have no expectations Gen 5 remakes will be any good at this point. But they should let you be able to evolve Dewott into either Samurott, and give Serpior and Emboar alternate forms to keep up. Ideally they should give Serperior psychic type to invert the secondary types.
