They had a great villain motive but bad execution. A bunch of rich people looking for immortality. Using alchemy to transfer the life energy of living beings to themselves. Also killing all pokemon to avoid future conflicts. The game did a horrible job explaining any of this. At least the manga did the concept justice.

All Team Yell had to do was be loud. That's it. Just blow out everyone's eardrums Gyakuten Saiban style. Galar did not need full blown voice acting but a few lines of dialogue, especially for Team Yell/Piers, would have elevated the experience.

I actually really like team skull’s punk look and music. However yell does nothing but act as a roadblock. A silent roadblock. Having only a few models was fine and even funny on the 3ds but only having 2 on the switch is incredibly lazy which makes them forgettable. They also just use dark types which has been done before and doesn’t even make sense because dark is underhanded and punk is loud.

honestly I would agree with both

Team Plasma and Team Skull are both the best Villainous Teams in the entire series, but they're both so damn good in completely different ways that I find room for them both at the top. They both probably have the most depth and story of all of the teams, and their leaders are easily the best characters of their respective games.

Team Flare had an alright leader but god-awful team, and Team Yell makes me want to run up to whoever designed them and kick them in the shins. Marco Cosmos is even fucking worse.

Was Rose ever portrayed as being actually evil? He came off more like he genuinely believed he was doing the right thing, and that Eternatus going wild was completely unplanned.
Not like Giovanni who wanted to steal pokemon for personal gain, or Lusamine who believed the whole world only existed to serve her. Rose was more like N, than any other villainous boss.

The only way Rose actually makes sense as a character is if they had originally written Leon as the true villain and he was just a glory obsessed douche. But then had to completely remove it without changing anything else because nobody with a charzardarino could ever be evil.

Piers was alright, it's a shame everything else associated with him is shit.
Yell was just Skull without any of the fun or soul. Marnie has the personality of a plastic bottle, only notable for making waifufags go "HUMINA-HUMINA-HUMINA" and the fuckton of porn she has. Spikemuth was another fucking hallway. Lack of voice acting ruins his introduction.

Team flare had a trash team but I'm mad all those cool grunt and admin designs were barely used but in the base section, that and we get nearly nothing with the admins to make us even remember them, all that and the choices for pokemons weren't that in touch for a team that wanted to scream fashion, I like them and the fact their leader's motivations are crazy delusional and he's basically pulling a thanos, but that's just not It, needed better execution, like most things in the series

I think Yell was even more poorly executed because the win for the concept solely layed on presentation to make It work which is were It hurts since they experimented again on the goal not being as engaging by default or creatively vilanous, flare is crazy enoguh to keep my attention and flashy but could have been so much better if they actually sat down and constructed their presence better, making them sneaky is one thing, making them nearly inexistant without real fear of what they could do is another, especially when they literally plan to whipe out half of humanity using pokemons' lifeforces including a legendary (and in Y one that sucks out the life of everything once near death at that so not the smartest decisions if things go wrong), I really WISH they made flare engaging and that we felt anything for Yell, especially since they tried redoing team skull's beta concept for It and didn't understand what clicked and forgot to give their grunts a new feel making them feel as empty as marnie

As someone who actually adores Lysandre, I cannot stand Team Flare. The grunts are far more comedy focused, and, while occasionally funny, they end up being pathetic. The admins are incredibly forgettable outside of the Xerosic, and you often question how this group is in anyway a threat.
