Why can't we have dresses like this anymore? I used to wear this all the time back in the days of Pokemon X&Y we have a cute dress in BDSP but you can only use it on the contests, which sucks ass

Gen 2 has the limitations of being built on underpowered 8bit hardware. It’s like wondering why the OG Wizardry games don’t let you change your character’s appearance. Gen 2’s overworld is so abstracted due to technical limitations that changing the protag’s appearance wouldn’t be noticeable. They’re fantastic IN SPITE OF your inability to modify the character, not because of.

I do get to decide what is my opinion. I’m sorry my opinion offends you but it doesn’t change it. I think people who play Pokémon for dressing up their characters are treating it like a Barbie simulator not a Pokémon game. You disagree that’s fine - you probably have nostalgia for action figures etc.
