Every fucking game shares the Exp. The problem isn't the Exp. Share, is the lack of situations where you're in danger to lose.
You level up meanwhile the battle so all of your stats may increase from the same fight. That's why PLA makes it better. It just doesn't "level up" your pokémon while fighting but rather when the battle ends. So you don't have the adventage of level up in the middle of the battle.
And other problem is how the IA and pretty much a lot of trainers have no real full teams. Unless you challenge them for something not main story.
BW has better dificulty than Cynthia just because you were a fucking child who couldn't know about how the game worked is not my problem.
The more old you get the easier "oh yeah so this has evs ivs and also... blah blah blah..." and you don't think it as a child but more of a chore to do.
Gen 8 problems, SwSh specially don't have to do with the game itself. But with how it was developed and tried to be the lightning in a bottle it was SM.
The game was rushed probably scrapped from the 3DS era and was not enought to fulfill the expectations. SwSh are bad games? No, but they are neither good. Average is more of a compliment than an insult to them.
People who just live in the past and just relive in their old glories is what made the franchise stuck in the same place.
