I like the concept because it's darwinism applied to pokemon. The games fucked it up though, regional variants NEVER should have replaced the original pokemon.

Ignoring OP’s selfie, Regional Forms are pointless because they don’t help the original, if anything they just steal the attention, shilling, and buffs that should have gone to the original. Notice how none of the Pokémon Game Freak values got regional forms, they got Megas or Gigas instead
