It looks better than most switch games. of course first party ips look better nintendo has a much greater understanding of the hardware and apis and have probably been developing their engine since way before the switch was out unlike other devs. PLA looks a lot better than swsh which was actually ugly

In all matters except legally, they're practically first party. They have no excuse and you need to stop making them as well.

graphical capability wise, pla looks alright compared to other pokemon games so far but the art direction is still pretty odd
i played dqxi again the other day and it felt like my eyes were cleansed from how fucking muddy everything is colored in pla

They're that incompetent, it's that simple. Someone debugged Sun/Moon and found some really shitty stuff, like the game storing several copies of the same places because they use one copy for each cutscene, there are multiple identical Lillie models in the game data and the game loads several of them at once per Lillie cutscene (the copies are T-posing underground or out of view during them) and other bad programming elements.

PLA looks alright. The mons have actual movement animations this time around. For example Decidueye stands on the ground but if you throw them in a water area they fly instead of magically spawning an entire shore to stand on or Ponytas have turning animations. It's a small step forward but I think this is a good direction they are heading to. Strange how LPLE and PLA are spinoffs yet are the best looking games to date.
