>>50166460I gotta be honest, i really like the ship, but let's be honest, ash is a very dense man, and sometimes his love for battles and pokemon makes him blind from other things. I actually feel a litte bad for serena, is obvious seeing xy she is extremelly infatuated with him, and really want something more than friendship from ash. In the journeys chapter, is obvious she at least still have a lot of admiration from him.
But ash only thinks of pokemon, pokemon battles, gyms and being the best. Even when she kissed him, she just had sparkling eyes for 2 seconds and he just shrugs it up as if nothing happened.
Serena looks and act like a top tier waifu to him, but even with that, it looks like she's never gonna caught his attention. I hope i'm wrong.
Imagine falling who you consider the love of your life, just for that person to just no give a single care fo you aside from friendship, that really must suck.
So yes, in an objective point of view, she really, REALLY deserves better.
