It's not just that he's bri'ish. It's that he somehow believes that each game is better than the last, which is, honestly, fucking stupid.
I understand valuing certain things more than others, but I think SwSh is a very average Pokemon game, with every feature it has done better by a previous entry.
Sure, competitive team building is hands down the best. It has a lot of QoL that previous games lack. Story? Not nearly as good as BW and SM. Graphics? Some of SwSh looks great, other places... Awful. Even XY and especially ORAS had better art direction, and was more consistent than SwSh. Content? Incredibly lacking in SwSh (pre DLC, of course). Even then it's still a slightly interesting hallway. Even back in RS there were plenty of places to explore and backtrack to, and routes and puzzles were actually very interesting. I will say that in the DLC, the wild areas were very fun to explore, but shit like that should have been base game, and not $30.
And GSC being the worst games according to him? Fucking crazy. Personally, I think GSC are definitely lacking, and a lot of people have very strong nostalgia for it, which is why it's so loved even with all it's flaws. That being said, there's no way they're the worst. That title probably belongs to XY or DP.
