They freeze stuff instantly when they use OFFENSIVE moves, on foes. At all other times, they PASSIVELY radiate coldness at a slow rate—maybe a small puddle would freeze in an hour if they hung around. So when they take an incoming Water attack it is NOT going to just instantly freeze especially when we're talking about high-volume, fast-moving water jets.
Stop posting this. Ice resisting Water DURING HAIL or Ice being SE on Water are realistic enough to be logically plausible. Not this shit. You can only stretch video game logic so much. Water fucking melts ice/snow on contact you cannot just say it suddenly does the explicit opposite of that without a valid explanation. Grey areas can be argued for, but this isn't a grey area at all. Water --> Ice is just explicitly anti-logic.
