Honestly, that's what I suspected when they released PLA. But given that they've said that SV won't have PLA mechanics... I was disappointed since PLA's battle system is a good evolution off of the basics; and you could easily reincorporate the lost mechanics like sleep and held items and whatnot back in while maintaining that core evolution of speed not being the only stat that matters and the strong-agile styles.

I wonder if Battle Style mechanic will be the permanent gimmick moving forward? I can’t see what else they can come up with besides fusion, armor forms, or something that changes the types of the moves
