So pretty sure Sprigatito is going to become a jaguar in reference to something in Mayan/Aztec mythology. It's clearly some sort of arboreal jungle cat, which do not exist in Spain, and the Mesoamericans worshipped Jaguars very heavily so that would make sense. Fuecoco at least looks like a chili pepper, but the skull mask (coco means skull as well as coconut) seems to tie it in somehow with the Mexican Day of The Dead (spanish halloween). El Coco is a bogeyman-esque thing from Spain that scares children, and in Brazil, the El Coco is often depicted as a humanoid alligator. I am NOT sold on the Quetzalcoatl thing however it is related to the Mayan underworld, which is basically the same thing/related to the Mexican Land of The Dead.
So both come from Spanish/Latin American culture........What the FUCK is up with that duck??? WHY DO WE HAVE A SAILOR DUCK WHAT DOES IT MEAN? I think it might end up tying in with the Spanish sailors who conquered and colonized Latin America
