My issue with money in Pokemon is that hardcore players are disincintevized to spend it in story mode; while in postgame, due to how expensive vitamins and TMs, which are the only things you'd be making consistent purchases of at that point, are outrageously expensive.
There's this divorce from a normal view of money where an experienced player knows that despite how abundant the cashflow seems to be at first, spending even a portion of it on adventure items is sabotaging yourself for postgame competitive.
It would be good if there was an investment system or bank with interest which could generate mountains of passive income that rewards you for saving large amounts of money.
