I just got this game. Holy shit, I thought you guys were exaggerating but this feels like actual shovelware. This game feels like a shitty indie early access game on steam that’s 40% way through its development.

Does it get less awful later on?? I just did the third gym.

Oh you poor bastard
if you have the DLC, it does make up for it as those two places are genuinely good and we’re designed by different people. Crown Tundra is better than the entirety of SWSH’s base game just on its own. Is it perfect, no, and it doesn’t redeem the fucking atrocious base game, but it makes it worthwhile to play and it’s actually kinda enjoyable. It and the Isle of Armor are the only ways to get any enjoyment outta this crock of shit.

Gamespot gave this a 9/10. Meaning it’s allegedly close to flawless and better than almost all other games from the last ten years.

Yes, I know game journalism is shitty and corrupt, but I refuse to believe they would be THIS off about it. That’s like giving Big Rigs Over the Road Racing a 7 or better.

This game gets better in the postgame, right?

It gets a tiny bit better in the middle and then totally plummets at the end. The last part of the game legitimately feels like they couldn't be bothered to finish the game.

The game is completely mediocre and is only made better by the DLC, although admittedly it's not that much better.

Dear god you poor man, it only gets worse. The latter 5 gyms are basically rapid fire, more so than even the first 3, there's no victory road, and the only dungeon left is 1 very small forest area with like 3 trainers (That's the only content between gyms 4 and 5 btw).
