I know "make randos online mad with shitposting" is a pastime, but shit gets tiresome after years of it.

I assume that some of it is children, though most are probably manchildren attempting to earn internet points by being annoying on a board dedicated to a children's game. I've been browsing /vp/ for a fairly substantial amount of time myself (at least since it was /tr/), and I can say with certainty that the quality of posting has gone way down over the years. At the very least, genuine conversation used to be a bit easier to find; though you probably knew that already, since you've been around for a decent amount of time.
