>>50216324Gardevoir are actually very humanlike in appearance. I’ll past a comment I’ve made in the past.
Their legs and upper arms have human proportions, just incredibly petite. On their model you can see that their upper arms and upper thighs get thicker towards the torso, just like a human’s.
Their torsos are also VERY humanlike by Pokemon standards. You can clearly see the shoulders, the start of the neck, the waistline. Most Pokemon bodies are just vague blobby shapes, like cones or teardrops.
Their heads and faces have a distinct look. Very round, with exaggerated features. I wouldn’t necessarily call them nonhuman, though. Human heads come in such a wide variety of shapes and sizes in this series, you could paste a Gardevoir head onto a human, and it would just make for a peculiar looking human.
They’re an exceptionally humanlike species.
>>50216827Jynx were probably intended to resemble humans. The dex says it sounds like it’s speaking human language.
Way back at the start of the franchise, the Pokemon world was just earth, real animals existed, and Pokemon had recently started appearing alongside them. It could have been that Pokemon were mutated animals. If that was the case, maybe Jynx was supposed to be what happens to humans when they mutate into Pokemon.
