gen 6 has a lot of issues but PSS remains the strongest implementation of online to this day. basement dwellers afraid of social interaction need not apply

it’s weird that people keep making this complaint and then can’t even make any arguments about how the current online system is bad beyond “raid stamps don’t update fast enough” even though stamps didn’t even exist in XY.

No reason they didn't have an online system with a friends list, just pull from your switch friends, why do we have to deal with codes. I want to be about to do online interactions without needing to arrange it an hour ahead of time.
Still miles better than festival plaza though

The only way gen 6 is superior to gen 8's online connectivity is that the GTS is included in game. And I'd even make an argument that, in terms of raw features, Home's GTS is superior to the GTS is previous generations (although restricting it to mobile only was stupid).
