I love Gens 1-3 but this will never happen and you are all in denial if you believe it will.

Nintendo and Game Freak are not going to fritter away potential sales by just adding it to the existing online service, and they absolutely wont get away with having a super deluxe expansion pass supreme at $60 per month.

Why? For a start, only 1.5m people bought VC RGBY, while 14.33m bought LGPE, indicating people just don't give a fuck for playing a 26 year old game, but absolutely WILL play a remake (or a re-remake in this case) of that 26 year old game.

That's the catch. See they COULD sell you the game you want for $15 and you get to keep it forever.

OR they could charge $50 a year to play it as long as they support the service, then when they cut it you'll move on to the next console and pay AGAIN. Pouring out hundreds of dollars for things you'll never own!

It's not "an hour's work" Nintendo (IE the overlords of the whole show) need to be arsed making a GB/GBA emulator for the system AND need to be holed supporting it beyond just pogeymans for you simpletons.
And they decided to just concentrate on their home console retro outputs, they can always chuck Game Freak another budget to re-remake an older region to sell at $60 and get anywhere between $600m and a billion dollars lifetime. Again, why bother?

Would actually be hyped for this. Play the original games with the proper postgame and access to version exclusives/trade evolutions. Add some online matchmaking to stadiums and it would be pretty comfy
