>>50223509Sort of. When BW2 in my late high school years came out I just blazed through it without thinking about it.
Cut to a year ago, I replayed it, and it rocked my fucking world. I was impressed with how rich the world and game content were, something I hadn't felt since Emerald, my favorite. In a weird sort of way, appreciating BW2 allowed me to appreciate XY and USUM more than I initially had.
It's because of this that I know my love for and frustration with Pokemon can't just be nostalgia. I don't believe GF will ever make anything as good in the nu-era, but it's always possible. We'll see how SV turns out.
