>>50228958You're a regular trainer who prove themselves to the elite by completing a buttload of quests, then you get to join them at their private island, or so you're told until you're shackled and find out they're a criminal cell seeking to eliminate all skilled trainers so they can be the only ones to exploit the power of the region's pokemon. At that point you must team up with fellow prisoners to break free, get back your pokemon and liberate all the enslaved pokemon the elite is using, including the region's legendaries that have been caged and will attack you out of mistrust for humans.
The postgame has the formation of a new, honest elite that seeks out to restore the harmony and trust between people and pokemon. You get to capture the legendaries after their habitats are repaired.
