Trying to "transfer" a pokemon from crystal to emerald with pkhex, but i cant find a version of pkhex that works for gen 3. theyre all gen 7 and beyond

All versions of PKHeX work with all gens. You just drag and drop your save onto it.

literally take the pokemon from gold, and copy its data best i can, stats and shit, and replicate it in emerald, then inject it in. just like transfer

You retard all pkhex version are backwards compatible. You just have to open your gen 3 save file in pkhex. You could also just save the pokemon you want to transfer by using "save pkm" in the crystal save (yes, pkhex works with gen 2 as well), then drop the file in the emerald save.

It basically just creates a new Pokemon with a lot of fields blanked out, but some of the data of the one from gen 1 or 2. I.e. the met data is blank, the IVs are zeroed out.

There's no official way of "transfering" between gen 2 and 3. Just recreate the in the mon manually in gen 3 and inject.

What are you using to play? Usually the .sav file is next to the rom in the BATTERY folder.

The last time I did this I ended up using PKXDelta to convert the Gen 2 Pokemon to Gen 3, then imported into PKHex from there. Very roundabout but it worked.

Gen 2 and 3 are not compatible. I doubt you can make a transer that won't trigger all kinds of injection flags, so you might as well just generate from scratch.

Stop being dumb and download it from project pokemon you idiot.
Also Gen 2 to Gen 3 transfer isn't legitimate so you'll have to rejig a lot of your Pokemons information. If its a Gen 1 Pokemon, create it as if it were a FRLG mon and if it's from Johto give it information that lines up with encounters from Emeralds Safari zone or Colosseum/Gale of Darkness. As far as transferring goes, Gen 1/2 Pokemon can only be legally transferred to Gen 7 or Bank (and then to Home)
