I'm so generally wonder what works have been a good nerf to Talonflame that didn't make him unusable.
Like the Mimikyu nerf I think was pretty fair and didn't really ruin the mon, just prevented focus sash nonsense specifically.
Gale wings nerf just fucking ruined it and no fun will ever be had again

Well Gale Wings granting priority to all Flying type moves, regardless of HP, was busted. Then Gale Wings granting priority to Flying to moves only at full HP, was way too big of a nerf. What if Gale Wings boosted priority when Talonflame was above 50% HP?

Gale Wings only works above 50%
Alternatively, only on the first Flying move you use whenever you bring it in regardless of HP

What about it working only for damaging moves? It would still have the Bravest Bird strategy but Roost shenanigans would be removed. Anyway, we can theorymon but they're not buffing it back, same for Aegislash, they try a nerf and if it's too much they just leave the mons there in the trash

In Unite, the gale wings ability only works when your HP is above 50%.
Seems they just want to translate it to the maingame.

Make it so Gale Wings is only deactivated at low HP (aka when the health bar is at red). That way it can still use priority Brave Bird upon switching on stealth rocks but not after tanking a hit by using a focus sash. It still probably won't be OU material but it would be much better for what Talonflame has right now.
