Battle Bond is a fun concept. Forms that encourage using a mon's signature move, aren't just guaranteed with a button press, and trade off the power increase by tying it up with a nothing ability is cool design.

They just tied it to an autistic anime exclusively.

As a plot mechanic it would have worked great with Digimon. I'm sure all the different individual Pokemon all look different from each other but Ash Greninja is SpEd.

It wasn't retarded as Ash-Greninja and Battle Bond is the realization of Ash's aura abilities actually being used in battle with a Pokemon that can use it

The goofy Ash-Greninja form is a result of Greninja's perfect aura synchronisation with Ash combined with it's latent ability to change its body composition to adapt as part of its ninja abilities (see Protean ability).

From what I've heard, the writers wanted to give Greninja a mega, but GF/TPC insisted that no Gen 6 Pokemon gets one, so the Job form was created for a compermise.

The concept itself is great, but doesn't translate well into the games. Takes a lot more practice and comes with a lot more risk than any other gimmick in the franchise. Having the trainer actively take a part in the battle and put himself on the line by feeling every attack taken and all the other attributes to the transformation were intriguing.

The design would be great if it wasn't for that fucking hair. The red addition and the big shuriken is a kino addition to the design.
