Its worth mentioning though, what in the west, Pokemon games call 'Gender' is actually defined as 'Sex' in japan, that is to say, a Pokemon born Male is a Male Sexed and a Pokemon that's born Female is Female Sexed. In both cases they could identify as agendered without having to change or adjust the Pokemon's Sex.
The real question is, how would they go about showing this? They could do it in the anime where Pokemon are shown to have a little more focus as far as characterization goes because you can have episodes or multiple episodes with a particular Pokemon having its character more front and center. The games would struggle with this, unless its a Mystery Dungeon game or something where we can speak with Pokemon or translate them.
