I wish pokemon had a time continuity on paralel with game releases.

Like DPPT events happening 4 years prior BW-B2W events, or RSE happening 14 years prior SM-USUM

To be fair DPPT can fit 4 years prior to BW. The only connecting tissue between BW and gen 4 games is the Rocket Grunt in Iccirus who has raised a family with a schoolkid son during the gap

They do though, RGBY/FRLG and RSE/ORAS happen concurrently, GSC/HGSS takes place shortly before DPPt/BDSP and everything since follows on from that, with SM/USM being 10 in-universe years since the events of RGBY/FRLG.

It has been established that there are several universes, but the games do have continuity with each other. For example, the GBA and DS games all take place in the same timeline, while the 3DS games and LGPE take place in a separate universe where mega-evolution exists. The entire plot of the delta episode in ORAS was Zinnia trying to stop the Mossdeep space centre crew from redirecting the meteorite to a universe that wasn't as advanced as theirs (i.e. the RSE universe).
