Why would the games be balanced? Some moves and types should be overpowered. Ice types in Gen 1 were rare but absolutely kino. Getting frozen was a death sentence and ice type moves were neutral to fire.

Balancing wasn't a priority. The game's focus was making rare and late game pokemon feel absolutely godlike. While also making certain moves hurdles to overcome.

Nobody was aware of 90% of those things as a kid and we still had a blast with things like Missingno only fueling the fun. Somehow the games also had better (faster) pacing than nu-pokemon despite being on a system that is barely faster than a calculator.

I did. Frankly none of these problems really show up then. But I do remember the Duplication glitch that we abused, and the MissingNo. Glitch. I remember also abusing the hell out of the sleep thing, but I thought it was 'balanced' then because most sleep moves had low accuracy.

Anon what it refers to is if the Pokemon takes recoil damage from confusion/paralysis in the middle of Dig/Fly they stay intangible to damage permanently.

So yes it is a bug, just like the Gravity + Sky Drop glitch in Gen 5
