Avoid basic things like “pyro” or “Zeus” or “Poseidon”. If it names like that come to mind first then everyone else has too.

Just use the random string generator to get unique nicknames like B6unWhi or 5tM4cXq. You will get attached to it no matter what the name is, only a bad self-generated nickname can be any bad. Good nicknames are just for showing off wit, and if you don't have any there's no point playing their tranny games.
