Hey at least it was a different elite 4. Imagine if you had a new region only to fight same elite 4 twice as the previous game with minimal changes. Wouldn't that be pathetic?

Not 8 gyms but 7 trials, no hms instead pokémon rides, no "eeeevil" team just a bunch of gansters and a crazed up lady with jellyfish obsession. No WORLD DOMINATION or WORLD DESTRUCTION plot for once, since Gen 2 at least. Character driven story. (something that's essential for an RPG)

And sorry but this is pokémon an RPG so if you don't want battles wtf are you playing it anyways.

SM could been the change of the franchise. And sorry but everything that makes PLA good comes from SM so fuck you all Alola haters. We won.

But PLA was fun because it let you loose and do whatever you wanted. No only was SM notorious for its huge amount of cutscenes stopping you from doing what you wanted, but it had awful hallway routes on top of that, a complete opposite from PLA just dropping you in a field and telling you to go have fun.

I think you're half right though, PLA is good because everyone tore the fuck out of games like SM and SWSH.

There's literally a scene of Lusamine saying she's going to have the Ultra Beasts destroy Alola when you fight her at the Aether Foundation, even if that was really out of nowhere compared to the rest of her motivation.

Also Necrozma trying to consume all light is essentially trying to destroy the world.

The only region to have previous region elite four members as current elite four members was johto, which isn't an entire identical elite four but the only one that anon could be reffering to

Not only were half the members different, but the only two repeated E4 members use slightly different teams with different movesets as well, so even those aren't exactly the same. The Gen II E4 is absolutely nothing like the Gen I E4.
